draṣṭā dṛśi-mātraḥ śuddhaḥ api-pratyaya-anupaśyaḥ

द्रष्टा दृशिमात्रः शुद्धोऽपि प्रत्ययानुपश्यः

The seer alone sees, although pure it observes through psychic activity.


draṣṭṛ - seer

dṛśi - seeing; the power of seeing

mātrā - only; measure, quantity, sum, size, duration

śuddha - pure

api - even, also, very; something more; moreover

pratyaya - psychic activity; cause; conception, assumption, notion, idea;

anupaśya - apperceive; one who sees; perceiving; seeing; observes
